In their first Class 4 test of the season, the Wolverines got a 22-point, 10-rebound double-double from junior center Dane Marsh as they cruised past a young Heritage squad, 65-44, on December 18 in Leesburg.
Despite the challenge in front of them, the Lightning never showed any hesitation as they weathered a second half rally by the Eagles to earn their first ever win over their rival, 42-35, on December 11 in Aldie.
After extending their lead to as many as 12 in the second half, the Panthers saw that lead fade away as the Vikings rallied back. But Potomac Falls didn’t back down as they fought back in the fourth quarter to sneak away with a 62-55 win over Loudoun Valley.
