Loudoun County, Va. – In an effort to better recognize athletes who positively affect sports in Loudoun County, Gymnaze and LoCoSports have teamed up to announce Loudoun United captain Jalen Robinson as the Gymnaze and LoCoSports Teammate of the Month for July 2022.
On July 3, Robinson broke open the scoring with a goal in the 7′ to get the United on the board first. Even though that match ended in a draw, and the Loudoun United struggled to get into the win column in July, Robinson continues to be a great mentor and leader for his teammates.
“I’ve known Jalen since he was 16 years old from when I coached him at Wake Forest,” Loudoun United head coach Ryan Martin said via a press release. “He has tremendous experience in Major League Soccer and great leadership. His mentorship for some of the younger players is admirable and I think he will help stabilize our backline with his quality, athleticism, and composure.”
The Gymnaze and LoCoSports Teammate of the Month is selected from nominations based on athletes having a great team-first mentality, hustle, work ethic, attitude and heart.
