Cross Country: Woodgrove Junior Sophie Hudak Named October 2017 Athlete of the Month

Loudoun County, Va. – In an effort to better recognize student-athletes who positively affect high school sports in Loudoun County, Power Train and LoCoSports have teamed up to announce Woodgrove High School junior Sophie Hudak as the Power Train and LoCoSports Athlete of the Month for October 2017.

On October 25 in Leesburg, Hudak ran a 19:56 to claim the Dulles District individual championship, leading the Lady Wolverines to a second place team finish.

Hudak followed up her first place finish in the district with a tenth place finish in the VHSL 4A Region C, running a 20:15 on November 1 in Winchester.

The Woodgrove junior currently holds the tenth fastest time (19:07) out of all the cross country runners in Loudoun County.

The Power Train and LoCoSports Athlete of the Month is selected from nominations based on student-athletes having great success, hustle, work ethic, attitude and heart.

Power Train invites all athletes and teammates of the month to either of their Loudoun locations for a free month of training.
