(March 8, 2016) — As high school student-athletes in Loudoun County make their decisions on what to do with their futures, many choose to continue pursuing an athletic career in college. LoCoSports is here to tell you about Life After Loudoun.

If you have any notes about LCPS graduates in college or beyond, please reach out through our contact form or email us at [email protected]

    • On March 6, Woodgrove High School graduate Jazmyn Rohrer (2014) tossed a no-hitter for the Division III Westminster softball team in an 8-0 win over Husson improving her season long pitching record to 2-1. In the game, Loudoun Valley High School graduate Courtney Dieterich (2014) went 3-for-3 with a double, two RBI and two runs. Courtney’s twin sister Addie Dieterich — who was named all-Presidents’ Athletic Conference as a freshman — has also had a successful start to her 2016 campaign batting .286 on the young season. The Dieterich’s younger sister and fellow Loudoun Valley graduate Kailey Liverman (2015) has started all six games of her collegiate softball career with the Titans and is batting .222 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored. The Titans — who are currently 2-4 — are set to play Kean on March 8 in Kissimmee, Fla.
    • On February 28, Tuscarora High School graduate Alex Lang (2014) went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, two RBI and two runs scored as the Radford softball team beat up on South Carolina State, 15-2. The Division I Highlanders — who are currently 9-5 — are set to play Norfolk State in a double header on March 9 in Norfolk.
    • In his first start at the collegiate level, Heritage High School graduate Jack Howard (2015) went 1-for-3 with an RBI, a run scored, a hit by pitch and a sacrifice bunt as his Division III Roanoke Maroons baseball team cruised to a 15-2 win over Greensboro on February 28. In the slugfest, Loudoun Valley High School graduate Danny Pugh (2014) added a pinch hit, eighth inning single. Getting the start at third base, Potomac Falls High School graduate Joey Larimer (2014) went 1-for-3 with a double. Just three days later, Howard made his second career start going 2-for-3 as Roanoke outlasted Ferrum, 7-5. Larimer made his third start of the season against Eastern Mennonite on March 5 going 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored as Roanoke won 9-0. The Maroons — who are currently 7-3 — are set to host Penn State-Harrisburg on March 8 in Salem.
    • Outfielder and Freedom High School graduate Kevin Dean (2013) is off to a fiery hot start with the Salisbury baseball program this season. Through seven games, Dean is hitting .333 with two doubles, two RBI and six runs scored. The Division III Sea Gulls — who are currently 4-3 — are set to host Neumann on March 8 in Salisbury, Md.
    • Heritage High School graduate Morris Robinson (2015) helped Frederick Community College punch its first ever ticket to the NJCAA Division II National Basketball Tournament. On February 28, Robinson scored 11 points while adding 5 rebounds and 5 assists as the Cougars defeated the Garrett Lakers in the NJCAA DII Region 20B championship game. The National Junior College Athletics Association national championship tournament tips off on March 15 in Danville, Ill.
