Girls Cross Country: Conference 28 Meet Complete Results – Loudoun Valley Senior Ciara Donohue Back-to-Back Champ as Vikings Claim Four Top-Five Spots

(October 30, 2014) – For the second time in two years, Loudoun Valley High School senior Ciara Donohue has run the fastest time at the Conference 28 girls cross country meet after posting a time of 17:41 at the Central High School Cross Country Course in Woodstock on Oct. 29.

The Lady Vikings were not finished yet as Donohue’s teammates senior Rachel Snyder (18:31), sophomore Kimberly Donohue (18:34) and freshman Natalie Morris (19:20) placed second, fourth and fifth respectively.

Loudoun schools saw one additional top-five finish as Rock Ridge High School sophomore Flora Grainger (18:33) placed third.

The Loudoun Valley girls – and boys – took home the team trophy and earned a VHSL 3A East Region bid. John Champe  High School placed second and first-year Rock Ridge placed fourth rounding out the top-four teams.

Loudoun Valley senior Jessica Kamienski (19:28) and John Champe junior Samantha Schuler (19:32) also qualified individually for the 3A East Region meet.

The VHSL 3A East Region meet will be held at the Central High School Cross Country Course in Woodstock on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
